Fantar or MiniFantar is made by reusing cooling fans of a personal computer and attaching LEDs behind the fan. It produces sound when a player catches blinking light passing through the fan as electric signals with a Light-Pick.
Musical scales can be played by adjusting the speed of the rotations as a lower speed generates lower sound while a higher rotation speed leads to higher sound..
