About Hayy Matsuri
Back for the second edition, Art Jameel presents an exciting and family-friendly programme promoting Japanese tradition, culture and arts in a contemporary and interactive way!
This year, Hayy Matsuri is back bigger and better with exclusive performances by Japanese music project Electronicos Fantasticos! and sound artist Daisuke Tanabe, both making their debut in Saudi Arabia. Taking inspiration from nature, everyday objects, sound and technology, the festival celebrates innovative and compelling ideas by pairing Japanese and Saudi artists including DesertF!sh, Akram Ali and Abstract crew to collaborate musically, explore and reimagine memories from the past, present and future using repurposed electrical appliances, visuals and soundscapes from Japan and Jeddah.
The festival is free and open to all – running from Thursday 9 until Saturday 11 January 2025 from 5 – 10pm at Hayy Jameel, Jeddah.
